Duke basketball: Predicting every win and loss this season
By Matt Giles
Game 13: Duke basketball at Clemson
The Duke Blue Devils will play at the Clemson Tigers, unranked to start the year, on Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. ET (ACCN) in Littlejohn Coliseum.
Media members peg the Tigers to finish No. 11 in the ACC standings. That’s despite the program reaching as high as No. 12 in the AP Top 25 Poll last season and appearing in the NCAA Tournament for only the third time in head coach Brad Brownell’s first 11 years at the school.
Clemson’s only double-digit scorer from last season, Aamir Simms, is no longer around. But many other capable pieces are still in town for the Tigers, including a pair of sharpshooting junior guards in Al-Amir Dawes and Nick Honor.
Also, remember that Duke basketball has lost three of its last four games in Littlejohn. While the predicted outcome for the Blue Devils is a win here, it likely won’t come easy.
Predicted final score: Duke 73, Clemson 68
The Blue Devils improve to 12-1 overall (2-0 ACC) on the season.
