Duke basketball: 7 former Blue Devils get the boot

Milwaukee Bucks waive Duke basketball alum Javin DeLaurier
Javin DeLaurier has never played in an NBA game. And chances are he won’t see a breakthrough into the league this year either.
The 6-foot-10, 240-pound power forward spent four years in Durham, where he mostly came off the bench for the Blue Devils and never averaged more than four points per game.
Last year, after going undrafted, DeLaurier signed a G-League deal with the Charlotte Hornets affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. He played seven games for the Swarm, averaging 2.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game.
Then in early August, the 23-year-old saw action with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Summer League before getting the boot there and eventually signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the Milwaukee Bucks for training camp. But DeLaurier was one of four players the Bucks dropped from the roster this past week.
