Duke basketball: 2 recruiting races nearing ‘done deal’ status?

True, Kyle Filipowski has not said when he’ll unveil his college choice or even release a list of favorites in the battle.

But ever since the 6-foot-11, 230-pound big man’s return from an official visit to Durham in late June, the 247Sports Crystal Ball and Rivals FutureCast have made clear that Duke is the frontrunner. Between those sites, there are seven picks for Filipowski, all of which favor the Blue Devils.

Five of the six Filipowski predictions at 247Sports have a “high” confidence tag.

Recapping, between the combined 16 Crystal Ball and FutureCast predictions for Kyle Filipowski and Dariq Whitehead, none of them favor any school other than Duke.

At the moment, the Blue Devils do not hold either the Crystal Ball or FutureCast lead for any other 2022 recruits.
