Potential Duke basketball player: Dariq Whitehead

Dariq Whitehead recently announced an Aug. 1 decision date. However, the 6-foot-8, 205-pound versatile small forward from New Jersey has not named finalists in his recruitment; conceivably, though, he could do so at some point between now and the end of July.

In June, Whitehead visited Duke, Florida State, and Kansas.

Within the past two weeks since wrapping up what appears to be his entire slate of recruiting trips before unveiling his landing spot, a total of nine predictions have popped up inside the 247Sports Crystal Ball and Rivals FutureCast for Whitehead. Now, all nine of the combined picks between the two sites point to the Blue Devils coming out on top.

And while none of the six at 247Sports are of a “high” confidence level, one comes from lead recruiting insider Eric Bossi, who is batting 15-for-15 when it comes to calling outcomes on the 2022 recruiting trail.
