Ranking Duke basketball’s 14 recruiting prospects from 2023 class
By Matt Giles
7. Duke basketball recruiting prospect Bryson Warren
- Point guard
- 6-foot-2, 160 pounds
- No. 32 overall on the 247Sports 2023 Recruit Rankings
Both the UNC and Duke basketball coaches spoke to Link Year (Mo.) four-star point guard Bryson Warren on Tuesday, according to a tweet from Stock Risers recruiting expert Jake Weingarten. And so did a long list of others, of course.
In May, 247Sports recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins gave a simple explanation as to why a “five-star” tag might lie in Warren’s future:
"“I could see Bryson Warren’s stock rise. Currently ranked at No. 32, Warren is one of the best bucket-getters the class has to offer. He has a scorer’s mentality that has attracted a handful of high major programs already. Look for him to make noise this summer with his ability to put the ball in the basket.”"
Per 247Sports, Warren’s offer sheet includes roughly two dozen schools. While neither the Blue Devils nor Tar Heels are yet on that list, it may only be a matter of time until the rivals fully enter the race.
