14. Duke basketball recruiting prospect Rayvon Griffith

  • Shooting guard
  • 6-foot-4, 180 pounds
  • No. 25 overall on the 247Sports 2023 Composite

According to 247Sports recruiting insider Travis Branham, Taft (Ohio) five-star shooting guard Rayvon Griffith has been receiving interest from Air Force, Dayton, Duke, Florida State, George Washington, Kentucky, Louisville, and West Virginia ever since the open-contact period tipped off last week. Plus, he’s landed offers in the past several days from Alabama and Arizona State.

Joe Tipton of Tipton Edits pointed out on Twitter that Griffith indeed talked to the newest full-fledged Duke basketball assistant coach in Nolan Smith.

Here’s how Branham briefly described Griffith’s plus side:

"“There are few, if any, prospects more athletic than Rayvon Griffith in the 2023 class. He is a strong, long, and aggressive slasher who can rise up and finish well above the rim.”"

While browsing Griffith’s sophomore mixtapes, though, it does appear as if his overall game — specifically, his loose shooting stroke and high dribble — is somewhat raw, at least in comparison with most of the other high-profile talents on this list.
