Best shooting guard for a Duke basketball small-ball lineup: Trevor Keels

Coming in at No. 20 overall on the final 247Sports 2021 Composite, Trevor Keels is behind two other incoming Blue Devils: five-star small forward AJ Griffin, who ranks No. 15, and five-star power forward Paolo Banchero, who sits No. 2 among his peers. Yet seeing that the Duke basketball roster will include only a few guards, he ought to see his fair share of playing time.

However, as noted in regard to Jeremy Roach, Keels won’t be breaking any of the Duke basketball program’s speed records at his position. But the five-star prospect, who already has chemistry with Roach after playing alongside him at Paul VI (Va.), is known for his ability to effectively calculate his most efficient steps on the court.

Plus, Keels has landed in Durham with a smooth outside jumper in his repertoire.
