Duke basketball tickets will be the hardest thing to come by in the 2021-22 season.
If you haven’t heard by now, I’d like to inform you that Duke basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be retiring after the 2021-22 season. And you better start saving your money if you want to see the greatest college basketball coach of all time take the sidelines one last time.
The Blue Devils are typically the biggest draw in college basketball, and with arenas getting back to maximum capacity next fall, that will be no different when Duke takes the floor once again.
Whether the five-time National Champions play at Cameron Indoor Stadium, on the road, or at a neutral location, it’s not cheap to attend a Duke basketball game, and the ticket prices will be sky-high next season.
Mike Krzyzewski’s last game as the head coach of Duke at Madison Square Garden. His last game at Syracuse. His last ACC Tournament game. His last game at the Dean Dome. His last game in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
His last game.
The list goes on and on.
Every time he takes the court will be the last time doing…(fill in the blank).
However, the Duke vs. North Carolina game that wraps up the regular season is slated to take place in Cameron Indoor Stadium this year, and tickets to that game may be more expensive than the National Championship Game.
Ballpark price range for Duke basketball’s last game of the regular season
The most anticipated Duke vs. North Carolina game in recent memory was Zion Williamson’s first game in the rivalry.
He blew out his shoe in the opening minutes, and Duke was never able to recover as fans paid a fortune to get into the building with stars all over Durham.
Former United States President Barack Obama made the trip to attend the game, and according to a 2019 Sports Illustrated article, the average ticket price was $4,670 on StubHub to get into Cameron.
The most expensive ticket sold by Vivid Seats to the game was $10,652.

That begs the question of how much the average ticket would be to see Mike Krzyzewski’s last game in Cameron Indoor Stadium against the Tar Heels.
$10,000? Maybe more?
Could a ticket be sold on the secondary market for $1 million?
That might be a bit steep of a price, but it certainly seems feasible that a ticket would be sold for close to $100,000 in the 9,314-seat arena.
Mark your calendars for a primetime showdown on ESPN on Saturday, March 5, 2022, Duke vs. North Carolina in the final game inside Cameron Indoor Stadium for Mike Krzyzewski.
The tissues will be needed.
