A trio of Duke basketball players is looking to make a bigger impact in a win-or-go-home game.

It was quite literally “survive and advance” for the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs despite not getting much production from its three former Duke basketball players.

Tyus Jones and Grayson Allen both came off the bench for the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference while Justise Winslow did not play against the Spurs due to a coach’s decision.

Jones logged the most minutes between the two former National Champions, seven, and added five points and one assist to the winning cause while shooting 2-of-3 from the field and 1-of-2 from 3-point range.

Allen, who had been a starter in 38 of 50 games this season, only saw five minutes off the bench and did not score on two shot attempts.

Grayson Allen was the only Grizzlies player to see the floor who did not score.

Tyus Jones had a +/- rating of -16, and Allen was -17.

Jones averaged 6.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this season on 43.1-percent shooting from the field while Allen posted 10.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest on 39.1-percent shooting from 3-point range.

Due to injuries, Justise Winslow was only able to play in 26 regular-season games but posted 6.9 points per game when he did see the floor.

Duke basketball trio looking to get back in the postseason

We all know what happened the last time Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow, and Grayson Allen were in the postseason together on the same team.

But the Memphis Grizzlies will have to get through Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors if they wish to reach the playoffs together in the NBA.

Golden State fell in the No. 8 vs. No. 9 ‘Play-In’ game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. The loser of Friday night’s game will be eliminated, and the winner will face the No. 1 seed Utah Jazz.

Tipoff is scheduled for 9:00pm EST (ESPN) from the Chase Center.
