Duke basketball: 3 signs that Patrick Baldwin Jr. is likely to land in Durham
Sign No. 2 the Duke basketball program will land Patrick Baldwin Jr.
Mike Krzyzewski not only landed great basketball players but pretty good recruiters as well.
Trevor Keels was another prospect who dwindled his list down to three in Duke, Villanova, and Virginia. And at some point in his recruitment, it felt like each school was in the lead.
However, before the Blue Devils eventually landed the pledge from the shooting guard, Keels heard from Duke signees Paolo Banchero and Adrian Griffin Jr. as the forward duo convinced him to link up with them in Durham.
After his announcement, which also took place on ESPN, Keels stated on his social media platforms that Duke wasn’t done yet, hinting at the idea that the players would be recruiting Patrick Baldwin Jr. to join them.
So perhaps Jon Scheyer, Chris Carrawell, and Nolan Smith could see their recruiting jobs be on the hot seat if Banchero, Griffin Jr., and Keels were able to secure a commitment from Baldwin Jr.
History tells us the incoming Duke freshmen are a perfect 1-for-1 on the recruiting trail, so why not make that 2-for-2?
