A Duke basketball gem’s promising twins have impressed a future Blue Devil.

Cayden Boozer appears to primarily possess guard traits. His twin and Nightrydas Elite (Fla.) teammate, Cameron Boozer, more closely resembles their father: former Duke basketball big man Carlos Boozer, a 2001 national champ with the Blue Devils who went on to average double-digit points in each of his 13 NBA seasons, earning two All-Star nods along the way.

Of course, seeing that Cayden and Cameron Boozer are still a few months away from entering high school, there’s no telling what growth spurts might await both.

Currently, no major recruiting sites have put out rankings for the 2025 class. But judging from the hype and the few lists that do exist for next season’s freshman preps, it appears as though Cameron Boozer is on track to become a five-star and potentially start out inside the top 10 among his peers. Meanwhile, Cayden Boozer could end up as a top 100 recruit.

Potential Duke basketball recruiting prospects?

Naturally, Carlos Boozer, a native of Alaska who nowadays works as a studio analyst for the ACC Network, chimed in with high praise on social media after his offspring shined over the weekend — as mere middle schoolers, mind you — at the Nightrydas Elite Invitational in Miami.

Check out their highlights from the event below (Cayden Boozer wears No. 2 for the squad in blue, and Cameron Boozer is No. 12):

Evidently, O’Dea (Wash.) power forward and 2021 Duke basketball signee Paolo Banchero — whose five-star skillset also somewhat mirrors that of the elder Boozer and has even drawn the former All-ACC bruiser to his games in the past — also likes what he has seen from Cayden and Cameron Boozer:

Now, here’s a brief recent scouting report on Cayden and Cameron Boozer from Jason Baud of Draft HD:

“Cameron and Cayden both possess a strong basketball IQ and are excellent rebounders. Cameron is the better prospect as he is a quick-minded defender who plays the passing lanes well…a soft touch on his mid-range jump shot…Cayden is less polished but still holds NBA rotational talent potentially or could possibly be a starter depending on his growth curve.”

Yes, given the Blue Devil connections and the duo’s obvious budding talents, the Boozer brothers are certainly worth keeping an eye on as possible Duke basketball recruiting targets down the road.
