Ranking Duke basketball’s NBA players this season: No. 6 Seth Curry

  • Age: 30
  • Current team: Philadelphia 76ers (41-21)
  • Games played this season: 49
  • Games started: 49
  • Season averages: 12.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.2 blocks
  • Shooting percentages: 45.3 from the field, 42.6 beyond the arc, 89.6 from the foul line

Seth Curry, who played three Duke basketball seasons (2010-13) before going undrafted, may not compile top-notch numbers outside of his 3-point production. But that doesn’t mean the 6-foot-2, 185-pound NBA Blue Devil is one-dimensional or anything less than vital to the Philadelphia 76ers’ success this season.

Rather, keep in mind that he sometimes mans the point yet averages only 1.2 turnovers per game as a full-time starter in the backcourt. And there’s no sense in failing to appreciate Curry’s exquisite stroke from deep; after all, his career 44.0 percent beyond the arc remains No. 1 among all active NBA players.
