Ranking Duke basketball’s NBA players this season: No. 27 Marques Bolden

  • Age: 23
  • Current team: None
  • Games played this season: Six (all with the Cleveland Cavaliers)
  • Games started: Zero
  • Season averages: 1.2 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.0 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.3 blocks
  • Shooting percentages: 33.3 from the field, 62.5 from the foul line

The Cleveland Cavaliers waived Marques Bolden in February after signing the 6-foot-10, 250-pound center to a two-way deal. Last season as a rookie, the undrafted three-year Blue Devil (2016-19) played in only one NBA game and thereby also came in dead last on the 2020 version of this ranking here at Ball Durham.

In addition to his six games of NBA action this season, the Texas native made three appearances with Canton Charge in the G League, averaging 6.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks. Now, it remains to be seen if Bolden will ever again see the court in the NBA.
