Ranking Duke basketball’s NBA players this season: No. 11 Mason Plumlee

  • Age: 31
  • Current team: Detroit Pistons (19-44)
  • Games played this season: 55
  • Games started: 55
  • Season averages: 10.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.9 blocks
  • Shooting percentages: 61.3 from the field, 66.9 from the foul line

As a full-time starter in his eighth year in the league after going No. 22 overall at the 2013 NBA Draft, veteran big man Mason Plumlee is on pace to set personal bests in terms of both his scoring and rebounding averages. Also, the 2010 Duke basketball national champ’s 26.8 minutes per game marks the most of his pro career.

On the other hand, as previously noted here in regards to current Pistons teammate Frank Jackson, the 6-foot-11, 255-pound Plumlee is compiling all of these encouraging numbers while playing for a squad that owns the worst record in the Eastern Conference.
