Ranking Duke basketball’s NBA players this season: No. 13 Marvin Bagley III

  • Age: 22
  • Current team: Sacramento Kings (25-37)
  • Games played this season: 37
  • Games started: 37
  • Season averages: 13.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.5 blocks
  • Shooting percentages: 50.2 from the field, 35.4 beyond the arc, 56.0 from the foul line

Look, it doesn’t always seem as though the Sacramento Kings are all that interested in future plans involving current third-year professional Marvin Bagley III, who went No. 2 overall to the franchise at the 2018 NBA Draft after his stellar freshman year in Durham.

After all, doctors cleared Bagley to play last week following his month-long recovery from a fractured left hand, but head coach Luke Walton has yet to reinsert the 6-foot-11 power forward into the rotation. And given the seemingly turbulent relationship between the player and franchise, many figured the Kings would send him elsewhere before the trade deadline.

However, despite the limited number of games this season, Bagley’s fairly impressive scoring and rebounding averages are impossible to fully ignore on a ranking such as this one.
