Ranking Duke basketball’s NBA players this season: No. 19 Rodney Hood

  • Age: 28
  • Current team: Toronto Raptors (26-37)
  • Games played this season: 51
  • Games started: Five
  • Season averages: 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.1 blocks
  • Shooting percentages: 35.9 from the field, 30.3 beyond the arc, 82.6 from the foul line

As part of a March trade that included fellow Blue Devil alum and current teammate Gary Trent Jr., Rodney Hood is now with the Toronto Raptors after spending a couple of years with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Altogether this season, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound wing is averaging a career-low 17.7 minutes per game. And his playing time with the Raptors is even lower than it was with the Trail Blazers. As a result, while also factoring in his career-low shooting percentages from the field and beyond the arc, Hood has dropped to No. 19 among NBA Blue Devils after ranking No. 13 here last year.
