The Duke basketball team trolled a former rival after being dominated by a Blue Devil.
Social media trolling has become the new form of talking trash, and the Duke basketball program took to Twitter to troll a former rival.
Following Saturday night’s thriller between the Boston Celtics (31-26) and Golden State Warriors (28-29), the Blue Devil Twitter account had some fun at the expense of former Michigan State forward Draymond Green.
Green, who thinks of himself as one of the best defenders in NBA history, could not help slow down former Blue Devil Jayson Tatum as he led the Celtics to victory, 119-114.

Tatum posted 44 points on 16-of-25 shooting from the field, 5-of-9 from 3-point range, and 7-of-8 from the free throw line in addition to 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Duke’s Twitter account chimed in during crunch time as the former Blue Devil was leading his team in a 16-point comeback with a simple, yet effective tweet.
After the game went final, the Boston Celtics tweeted that their young star had eclipsed the 40-point plateau for the fifth time in his four NBA seasons and the second time this month, prompting the troll job from the Blue Devils:

Back story behind the Duke basketball troll job
If you are unfamiliar with commercials during NBA games, both Jayson Tatum and Draymond Green are spokesmen for Subway, and the two filmed a commercial for a new sandwich, but the catch was Tatum’s sub had bacon on it and Green’s did not.
It has been a running joke throughout social media as Tatum and Green exchange blows in the commercial as the Blue Devil ends the lighthearted insults with “my sub has bacon.”

Bacon or not, Draymond Green and the Warriors have been unable to slow Jayson Tatum this season as he is averaging 35.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game against Golden State this season while shooting 56.8-percent from the floor and 47.4-percent from 3-point range.
Boston swept the season series between the two franchises this year, and the teams would not play again until the NBA Finals, although that outcome is highly unlikely.
