Ranking the 11 Duke basketball contributors through 11 games
By Matt Giles
6. Duke basketball sophomore forward Wendell Moore
GAME AVERAGES: 23.5 minutes, 7.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.0 blocks, 1.8 turnovers, 2.2 fouls
SHOOTING PERCENTAGES: 33.7 percent from the field, 25.9 percent from beyond the arc, 81.0 percent from the foul line
SEASON-HIGH STATS: 34 minutes at Louisville on Jan. 23, 25 points vs. Boston College on Jan. 6, eight rebounds vs. Wake Forest on Jan. 9, three assists (twice), four steals vs. Boston College, four turnovers (twice), four fouls (twice)
OVERALL ASSESSMENT: Easily the most unpredictable of the bunch, Wendell Moore is hit-or-miss every time he steps on the floor. It’s often obvious soon after he steps on the floor which version has shown up. Against Coppin State, Boston College, and Wake Forest, the 6-foot-5 leader played somewhat smooth and with confidence. But his other eight outings have been shockingly ugly.
CURRENT GRADE: 81 (B-)
