8. Duke basketball freshman center Mark Williams
GAME AVERAGES: 6.5 minutes, 1.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.1 steals, 0.4 blocks, 0.5 turnovers, 0.8 fouls
SHOOTING PERCENTAGES: 50.0 percent from the field, 0-for-0 from beyond the arc, 33.3 percent from the foul line
SEASON-HIGH STATS: 15 minutes vs. Bellarmine on Dec. 4, six points vs. Georgia Tech on Jan. 26, seven rebounds vs. Bellarmine, three assists vs. Bellarmine, one steal vs. Georgia Tech, four blocks vs. Bellarmine, three turnovers vs. Wake Forest on Jan. 9, two fouls (thrice)
OVERALL ASSESSMENT: Last time out, Mark Williams, who has started four times thus far, played his best game. The 7-footer exhibited a strong, instinctive spin move and soft touch on a subsequent shot off the backboard. He was also assertive on the glass and disrupted Georgia Tech’s bigs as a lengthy defender. Altogether, though, he doesn’t quite edge out this next frosh.
CURRENT GRADE: 78 (C+)
