10. Duke basketball senior forward Patrick Tape
GAME AVERAGES: 5.4 minutes, 0.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.2 steals, 0.4 blocks, 0.6 turnovers, 1.2 fouls
SHOOTING PERCENTAGES: 25.0 percent from the field, 0-for-0 from beyond the arc, 0-for-1 from the foul line
SEASON-HIGH STATS: 10 minutes at Pitt on Jan. 19, two points (twice), four rebounds at Pitt, one assist (twice), one steal at Notre Dame on Dec. 16, two blocks vs. Bellarmine on Dec. 4, two turnovers at Pitt, two fouls (thrice)
OVERALL ASSESSMENT: Barring injuries or foul trouble in the frontcourt, Patrick Tape isn’t likely to regularly appear in crunch time or see double-digit minutes. In fact, it’s no guarantee the 6-foot-9 grad transfer will come off the bench at all in any given outing. That said, with a strong frame, sturdy base, and seasoned instincts, the 22-year-old is nice to have on tap as a sufficient backup.
CURRENT GRADE: 75 (C)
