Prediction: Duke basketball vs. Pittsburgh

There is no such thing as a ‘must-win’ in December, but Duke needs to take care of business against Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

Without Justin Champagnie, the Blue Devils should have a much more focused defensive gameplan on Au’Diese Toney with Jordan Goldwire being attached to his hip wherever he goes.

Pittsburgh is improved, but Mike Krzyzewski’s disciples rarely defeat him, and Jeff Capel will not buck that trend when he faces his mentor for the third time since taking over the Panthers.

Look for Matthew Hurt to continue to be a mismatch on the offensive end while freshman guards Jeremy Roach and DJ Steward become more comfortable with the college environment and game speed entering the gauntlet of ACC play.

PREDICTION: Duke 83, Pittsburgh 67
