Duke basketball Christmas gift: A get-well potion for Wendell Moore

Wendell Moore has all the tools to thrive at a high level in college basketball.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native showed his potential in flashes last season as a freshman and after a solid sophomore debut, nothing has gone right for the 6-foot-5 forward.

Moore began his season with 13 points, four rebounds, and two assists on 6-of-11 shooting and splitting his two attempts from 3-point range.

Since November 28, Wendell Moore has a total of six points and ten rebounds on 1-of-21 shooting, missing all seven of his 3-point attempts across four games.

Moore has also been relegated to the bench following the Blue Devils’ victory over Bellarmine, seeing a combined 16 minutes against Illinois and Notre Dame.

The biggest area for improvement for Wendell Moore entering his second season in Durham was his 3-point shooting and body control while attacking the basket, but now everything seems in question with the forward while he searches for the answers amid the Blue Devils’ holiday break.

Hopefully, Santa Claus was able to give Wendell Moore whatever he needs to break out of his slump and become an impactful player for the Duke Blue Devils.
