How Duke basketball has fared in ACC-Big Ten Challenge: 2018 and 2019

2018: Duke won at home, 90-60, against Indiana

After a tight and highly competitive battle in 2017, the two programs decided to run it back the next year. However, Indiana quickly found itself in a nightmare situation. Duke absolutely obliterated the Hoosiers right out the gate and led, 53-29, at halftime.

Zion Williamson had a spectacular game, scoring 25 points on 11-for-15 shooting while RJ Barrett added in 22. Tre Jones also had a special game, scoring 15 points, dishing out eight assists, and committing zero turnovers.

2019: Duke won on the road, 87-75, against Michigan State

The Blue Devils took a trip up to East Lansing after losing to the Spartans months earlier in the Elite Eight. Duke continued its regular-season dominance over Michigan State in a game the Blue Devils controlled the entire 40 minutes.

Tre Jones scored 20 points and dished out 12 assists while Vernon Carey Jr. dominated down low. The freshman big man had 26 points and 11 rebounds, wearing out the Spartans on the inside. It was a game that was never in question.

Duke now has an incredible 9-1 record over its last 10 ACC-Big Ten Challenge matchups. The Blue Devils have not lost in the Challenge since 2011. Hopefully, Duke can continue its success in the event when it takes on Illinois in Durham on Tuesday night.
