How Duke basketball has fared in ACC-Big Ten Challenge: 2016 and 2017

2016: Duke won at home, 78-69, against Michigan State

Despite a rough shooting night, the Blue Devils were still able to pull out a tough win against a struggling Michigan State team. Duke used an 11-0 second-half run to create some separation in this game.

Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard sparked the Blue Devil offense as Allen had 24 points and Kennard added in 20 of his own. Duke played just six guys in this game as the squad still had multiple players recovering from injury.

2017: Duke won on the road, 91-81, against Indiana

Duke had to tough out a win against a hard-playing Indiana team in front of a raucous crowd in Bloomington. It was a tight game throughout, but the Blue Devils were able to make the necessary plays late in the game to pull it out.

Grayson Allen had some key plays and scored 21 points while Marvin Bagley III led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Wendell Carter also had a strong outing with 18 points and 12 rebounds, but it was Marques Bolden who had a key play where he dove on the floor for a loose ball, which shifted the momentum in Duke’s favor.
