Duke basketball is on a decent winning streak in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

The Duke basketball team, No. 10 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, is set to participate in the 22nd annual ACC-Big Ten Challenge at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday (ESPN) when it hosts No. 6 Illinois in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

This event always provides us with some great early-season matchups. Every year, it allows Duke to get tested soon out of the gate against a high-level opponent. This season will be no different as the squad will have to go to battle against the extremely talented Fighting Illini.

Before that happens, though, let’s take a look back at how the Blue Devils have performed in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge over the last 10 seasons, beginning in 2010…

2010: Duke won at home, 84-79, against Michigan State

Our countdown starts with a game in which Kyrie Irving made his introduction to the world. The eventual No. 1 pick could do no wrong on this night. Irving scored 31 points on 8-for-12 shooting. This game would really be the last time we ever saw the eventual one-and-done putting on a show in a Duke uniform. Nolan Smith also played well as he added in 17 points and five assists.

2011: Duke lost on the road, 85-63, against Ohio State

The Blue Devils’ only trip up to Columbus did not go well. Duke was coming off a Maui Invitational championship and had a bit of a letdown against a solid Ohio State team. Led by Jared Sullinger, the Buckeyes absolutely trounced the Blue Devils. Duke was never competitive in this one despite 22 points from its star freshman guard, Austin Rivers.
