Duke football embarrassed once again as something must change
Duke football was embarrassed once again, this time by lowly Georgia Tech.
Another day, another embarrassing blowout for the Duke football team as the Blue Devils were run out of Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday.
The Blue Devils remained competitive through the first half, only trailing by 28-26, but were outscored 28-7 in the second half. The Yellow Jackets posted the final 21 points of the game, going on to win, 56-33.
Duke’s second-half possessions ended as follows: interception, fumble, fumble, touchdown, punt, turnover on downs, turnovers on downs.
Not great.
Transfer quarterback Chase Brice remains a turnover machine with one interception and two fumbles after completing 19-of-40 attempts for 273 yards and two touchdowns.

Georgia Tech scored the most points it has all season, despite its lowly offensive production numbers and the most points under head coach Geoff Swain, who is in his second year with the Yellow Jackets.
Quarterback Jeff Sims threw for 146 yards and ran for 108 more while running back Jordan Mason also eclipsed the century mark with 105 rushing yards.
Despite having a scheduled bye week and unexpected bye with the cancelation against Wake Forest, due to COVID-19 with the Demon Deacons, the Blue Devils surrendered back-to-back games with 56 points dating back to their awful loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Things must change with the Duke football program
Given how bad Duke football was previous to David Cutcliffe, firing the head coach probably isn’t the best option, but he cannot keep throwing Chase Brice on the field because he’s not improving at all.

It’s time to let Gunnar Holmberg orchestrate the offense because, if we are being honest, he cannot do any worse than Brice is.
Duke saw another schedule change as the Blue Devils will not face Florida State, as a result of a virus outbreak with the Seminoles. Instead, Cutcliffe’s team will close out the season by hosting Miami (FL) on Saturday, December 5 at 8:00pm EST (ACC Network).
