Grading the play of Duke basketball freshman Henry Coleman

The stat line of Henry Coleman vs. Coppin State: In his lone minute on the court, the freshman power forward finished without a single point, rebound, assist, steal, block, turnover, or foul, and he did not attempt a shot from the field or the charity stripe.

The evaluation of Henry Coleman vs. Coppin State: It’s definitely a tad unfair to try and judge Henry Coleman from only 50 seconds of action, which came all in one sequence following the under-12 timeout in the first half. Nevertheless, let’s give it our best shot to analyze the oh-so-brief Duke basketball debut of the 6-foot-7, 230-pound muscleman out of Richmond, Va.

First, Coleman forced a foul against the Eagles while assertively boxing out on the defensive glass. And across the high-tempo period that he was on the floor, he moved with a sense of certainty and with an upbeat bounce to his step.

But after bobbling and ultimately losing a potential offensive rebound out of bounds, Coleman saw his time on the floor come to an end.

The final grade for Henry Coleman vs. Coppin State: 75 (C)
