Predicting the Duke basketball outcome in the 2021 ACC Tournament

Dates: March 9-13

Location: Greensboro, N.C. (Greensboro Coliseum)

Prediction: Scrolling back through the prior predictions here, it looks as if the Blue Devils should arrive at the 2021 ACC Tournament as the No. 1 seed, having won its past six outings and 16 of its past 17. In other words, the now-somewhat experienced Duke team will be firing on all cylinders as arguably the nation’s hottest team entering the postseason.

And the winning should continue for the Blue Devils in their first two rounds of action in the nation’s capital. But the joy ride will come to a halt in the championship game against No. 2 seed Virginia, who will have tied Duke atop the ACC standings with a 17-3 record but will be looking for revenge from their lone meeting on Feb. 20 that served as the tiebreaker.

Duke’s predicted overall record to date: 24-6 (17-3 in ACC)
