Ranking Duke basketball’s five best uniforms of all time
No. 1 Duke basketball look of all time: THE BLUE UNIFORMS
Call me biased, but I think that Duke blue is the best color in the world. It may be a bit of an upset to have the road blue jerseys (above) as the No. 1 here, but again, I am personally a huge fan of Duke blue.
The blue uniforms always had the potential to be the best uniforms, but I do not think that Nike and whoever else has ever designed Duke’s jerseys ever got it quite right.
That was until this past season when the program unveiled a new road blue jersey. These new blue jerseys are simply beautiful. I don’t know what it is, but the blue just really seems to pop more. The white going down the side complements the blue in the jersey incredibly well.
The blue uniform is the ultimate Swiss Army Knife of a jersey. The players look good rocking them with white shoes, black shoes, or blue shoes. The blue uniforms can be styled in many different ways.
Similar to the black uniforms, I would love to see Duke wear them for some home games. The blue uniforms look great in all locations, and the Blue Devils seem to favor them when they are the lower seed in an ACC or NCAA Tournament game. I hope Duke never gets rid of its current blue uniforms because they are truly a masterpiece.
