No. 2 Duke basketball look of all time: THE BROTHERHOOD UNIFORMS

These Duke basketball jerseys (above) are special because they are one of a kind. I have never seen the Blue Devils rock a navy blue uniform ever before. So when Duke first unveiled this look last season, it was a really big deal. The social media team even put out an entire hype video, narrated by former Blue Devil Jay Bilas, to welcome in the uniforms:

What is cool about these uniforms is the unique lettering. The gothic print is on the front of the jerseys, and they are the only Duke jerseys with that particular font, which sets them apart from the rest. They are a cool combination of throwback and modern looks. What’s also cool is that these jerseys were designed by former star player and current assistant coach Nolan Smith.

Duke brought these out early on in the conference season for a home game against Wake Forest. The Blue Devils won that game, and that whole “look good, feel good, play good” monicker came to fruition. Duke then wore them again on the road at Syracuse, a game the Blue Devils won in front of a record crowd.

It seemed like the jerseys had magical powers, as in the Blue Devils couldn’t lose in them. That, unfortunately, came to a screeching halt when they were blown out on the road at NC State while wearing them. Hopefully, Duke brings these back for this season because they are fire uniforms.
