Kara Lawson has finalized her first schedule as the Duke basketball head coach.

Scheduling in 2020 is hard enough, now imagine if you are Duke basketball head coach Kara Lawson and trying to fill games for the first time in your coaching career.

Despite the challenges this offseason has brought, Lawson and the Blue Devils are ready to go into the 2020-21 season as the Blue Devils have officially announced their non-conference and conference schedule.

Kara Lawson takes over for Joanne P. McCallie, who stepped down as the head coach of Duke with one year left on her contract after she had not received an extension.

Duke quickly began its search for a new head coach, and Director of Athletics Kevin White has appeared to hit a grand slam with the hire of the former Boston Celtics assistant.

Last season, the Blue Devils finished the regular season as one of the hottest teams in the ACC, winning nine of its last eleven games, but Duke lost in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals to Boston College, which ultimately ended its season with an 18-12 (12-6 ACC) record.

The biggest takeaway for Duke is that the Lady Blue Devils will only play four non-conference games this season.
