Duke football: Daniel Jones continues domination of Washington
Former Duke football standout Daniel Jones continued his domination of the Washington Football Team.
There have not been many teams former Duke football quarterback Daniel Jones has defeated in his short NFL career.
In fact, there have only been two teams the former Blue Devil has beaten in the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his first-ever start last season and the Washington football franchise.
For the fourth time in as many tries, Jones defeated Washington again, getting the New York Giants out to an early lead and never looking back.
Jones led the Giants to a 23-20 victory on Sunday in the nation’s capital as the defense sealed the win for Big Blue, pushing the team to 2-7 on the season as Washington dropped to 2-6.

The former No. 6 overall pick completed 23-of-34 yards for 212 yards and a touchdown while not turning the ball over for the first time all season.
Jones did fumble twice, but he was able to recover the loose ball both times it was on the grass as he ran six times for just four yards in the win.
Daniel Jones’ lone touchdown pass came on a 16-yard completion to tight end Evan Engram in the second quarter, which pushed the Giants’ lead to 20-3.
Another big game awaits the Duke football standout
In the lowly NFC East, every game is heightened, and the New York Giants have a chance to catapult themselves near the top of the division on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles (3-4-1).
The defending NFC East Champions will make the trip up I-95 to MetLife Stadium for another pivotal battle in the NFC East as the Eagles look to even their record in the 2020 season.
