The draft stocks of Duke basketball’s other two early entrants this year

Former Duke one-and-done wing Cassius Stanley and two-and-done point guard Tre Jones will also be hoping to earn guaranteed contracts by landing in the first round.

CBS Sports mock-drafter Colin Ward-Henninger sees the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Jones going No. 23 overall to the Utah Jazz. That, of course, is a fitting choice, if only for the fact that the head coach in Salt Lake City is late-1980s Blue Devil point guard Quin Snyder.

Meanwhile, the same mock draft shows the 6-foot-6, 195-pound Stanley going No. 27 overall to the New York Knicks. Not only would the high-flying sensation be a potential big hit in the Big Apple, but he would also join a former sensational one-and-done shooting guard out of Duke in rising NBA sophomore RJ Barrett.

Keep in mind, however, that the draft stocks of Vernon Carey Jr., Tre Jones, and Cassius Stanley all look to remain quite chaotic as we head down the home stretch toward the long-time-coming 2020 NBA Draft. It is what it is. They could go in any order. They could all end up in the first round. Or they could all end up in the second round.

And apparently, it is even within the realm of possibility that one could inexplicably go undrafted.
