Duke basketball: 20 serious concerns about 2020-21 Blue Devils
By Matt Giles
Question No. 15 for the 2020-21 Duke basketball team…
Can Henry Coleman earn enough minutes to impact games with his passion and intelligence?
As a potential dirty-work extraordinaire, quick decision-maker, and human foghorn — i.e., the persistent loud voice on the court that Mike Krzyzewski tends to favor — Henry Coleman could one day fall on the same page in the Duke basketball history books as some beloved Blue Devil champs at forward in Brian Davis, Nate James, Lance Thomas, and Amile Jefferson.
And of the program’s six current freshmen, Coleman seems the most content to stick around in Durham long enough to graduate and construct a Duke basketball legacy.
One reason for that, however, is the fact that the 6-foot-7, 230-pound workhorse appears to have fewer pro-level skills in his arsenal than the other rookies.
So in some ways, it’d surely be beneficial for Duke to have Coleman in the game diligently fulfilling his duties on a regular basis. Yet he’ll have to exhibit some refinement to his game, particularly on offense, so as to demand attention from defenders and thereby demand playing time from Coach K.
