A time and date have been set for the next victory for the Duke football program.

Hopefully, no ghosts or spirits will be out in Durham on Halloween night as the Blue Devils now know when they will put the pads on during All Hallows’ Eve.

The ACC announced its game times and networks for the slate of games on October 31, and Duke will host the Charlotte 49ers at 7:00pm EST on October 31 at Wallace Wade Stadium. The contest can be seen on various Regional Sports Networks.

The Blue Devils will enter that contest with a 1-5 record, as prior to the season, this matchup with the 49ers was the only designated victory for Duke as its only non-conference game of the 2020 campaign.

It has not been the easiest or smoothest season for Charlotte either, as the 49ers do have a record of 1-2, but the program has had three games canceled or postponed because of a COVID-19 outbreak either within its own program or an opponent’s program.

However, head coach Will Healy will have his football team back out on the field this weekend against the University of Texas at El Paso for the first time since playing against North Texas on October 10.

The 49ers were also supposed to play the North Carolina Tar Heels this season, but that game was canceled because of an outbreak within the team.

Following its battle with Charlotte, Duke will face the Tar Heels in the annual battle for the Victory Bell, which North Carolina took back one season ago in a game many Blue Devil fans would like to forget.

Next Saturday night will mark the first primetime game for the Blue Devils this season, as their latest kickoff to date has been 4:00pm EST against Virginia and Virginia Tech, both losses for Duke.
