Duke football: Jamison Crowder returns in big way for New York Jets
Former Duke football standout Jamison Crowder returned to the field in a major way for the New York Jets.
The New York Jets are one of the worst teams in the National Football League, and the skill position players the team has surrounded quarterback Sam Darnold with are laughable.
Granted, many of the starters for the team are injured, but New York is starting to get a little more healthy at wide receiver, and Darnold’s favorite target, Jamison Crowder, returned for Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos.

Unfortunately for the Jets, the presence of Crowder was unable to push the team to its first win of the season as New York dropped to 0-4 with a 37-28 defeat.
However, Darnold was looking for the former Blue Devil early and often with a team-high 10 targets and tied for a team-high with seven receptions along with Jeff Smith, who also was coming off an injury.
Crowder was not able to find the end zone as the Jets did not have a passing touchdown, but his night was capped with 104 receiving yards, his second game this year of over 100 receiving yards.
Jamison Crowder injured his hamstring in practice following the Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills, where the slot receiver also went for seven catches, 115 yards, and a touchdown but was unfit to play in the Jets’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts.

Questions continue to be raised surrounding New York Jets head coach Adam Gase’s job security as many wonder if this football team will be able to win a game this season.
The Jets will try and bounce back for their first victory of the season against the Arizona Cardinals, who are currently riding a two-game losing streak.
