The ACC has announced the Duke football kickoff time and network against Syracuse.

One of the least anticipated ACC games of the 2020 college football season now has a kickoff time and a network.

The conference announced on Monday afternoon that the Duke Blue Devils will face the Syracuse Orange in the newly refurbished Carrier Dome at 12:30pm EST on Saturday, October 10 on various Regional Sports Networks.

Duke is 0-3 on the season, where the competitiveness of the team could be questioned in all three losses by a combined 52 points.

Syracuse, a team that many did not have high aspirations for, picked up its first win in its revamped home arena against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets after falling apart in the season opener against North Carolina and narrowly dropping a road game against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Last season, the Orange, who did not have its best season, embarrassed the Blue Devils in Wallace Wade Stadium, 49-6, for its first victory in the series against Duke that dates back to 1938.

However, the two teams met in 1938 and 1939 and then did not meet again until 2014 in the Carrier Dome, the only trip the Blue Devils have made to upstate New York.

Duke came away with a 27-10 victory in that meeting, and the Blue Devils could be winless entering this meeting as well, as David Cutcliffe’s team will be hosting the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday, October 3.

Dino Babers and the Orange will have an extra week to prepare for the turnover-prone Blue Devils as Syracuse is on its first idle week of the season following its first victory.

Syracuse had the start of its game against Georgia Tech shortly delayed because of inconclusive COVID-19 tests within the program. But all players who had inconclusive tests were retested. All results came back negative, and the game was played as scheduled.
