Former Duke basketball superstar Jayson Tatum went for another career night in Game Two against the Toronto Raptors.

It was the Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart show in Game One for the Boston Celtics against the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and it was more of the same for the C’s in Game Two.

Tatum posted a game-high 34 points in Boston’s 102-99 victory in addition to eight rebounds, six assists, and a steal while shooting 8-of-17 from the field, 4-of-7 from 3-point range, and a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line.

Marcus Smart, who went on a 3-point barrage in the fourth quarter, finished with 19 points for the Celtics.

However, back to the star of Game Two in Tatum, who toppled his previous playoff career-high of 33 points, which he set in Game Two of the First Round against the Philadelphia 76ers.

In the minimum of six playoff games played so far, Tatum has already set a new career-high in postseason points three times with 32, 33, and 34 points and has since become the first Celtics player with three 30-point games in the playoffs before turning 24 years old.

Jayson Tatum is only 22 years old, reaching the milestone on March 3.

However, everything did not go according to plan for the first-time All-Star on Tuesday night as in the final minute he was hit with a technical foul that many deemed uncalled for and unnecessary after he was called for an offensive foul.

Despite the call going against the former Blue Devil, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse did not appreciate the way Tatum was officiated, attempting 14 free throws, while Toronto as a team only took 19 free throws.

Holding a 2-0 series lead, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics will look to take a commanding 3-0 lead over the defending NBA Champions on Thursday, September 3 at 6:30pm EST on TNT.
