The projected 2021-22 Duke basketball players: Jeremy Roach

Pick Analysis. 180 pounds. G. Scouting Report. 6-foot-2. Jeremy Roach. player. 434

  • Peak composite ranking for Jeremy Roach in high school: No. 12
  • Current status: Set to debut as a Blue Devil in the upcoming season
  • In 2021-22: Would be a Duke basketball sophomore
  • Date of birth: Nov. 1, 2001

If all goes as most expect, then Jeremy Roach will enter his second year as a Blue Devil with one year of experience as Duke’s starting point guard under his belt. Sure, there are likely to be bumps along the road that is his upcoming freshman campaign. After all, taking over the reins from the great Tre Jones as the primary floor general under Mike Krzyzewski will be no easy task.

On the other hand, any bumps Roach encounters as a rookie should help mold him into a totally trustworthy sophomore for the 2021-22 Duke basketball team. Now, like several others on this projected roster, there is a real possibility that he could cash in his talents as a pro following the 2020-21 season. But the chances of that — pending a phenomenal first year — seem slim.
