The projected 2021-22 Duke basketball players: Trevor Keels

  • Peak composite ranking for Trevor Keels in high school: No. 15
  • Current status: Yet to commit, but Blue Devils are among the two or three favorites
  • In 2021-22: Would be a Duke basketball freshman
  • Date of birth: Aug. 26, 2003

Like Patrick Baldwin Jr., Paul VI (Va.) senior Trevor Keels is hearing from Paolo Banchero as the newest Blue Devil commit contributes to Duke basketball recruiting efforts by zooming in on the two most probable 2021 targets to join him in Durham. Also likely working in Mike Krzyzewski’s favor when it comes to Keels, though, is that his former high school teammate is Jeremy Roach.

If Roach does intend to stay for a sophomore year, then it might be tough for Keels to pass on an opportunity to reunite with him as a fellow five-star member of the Blue Devils’ backcourt. Though Keels, a renowned sharpshooter and sharp mind on the basketball court, is not a supreme athlete, his arsenal is deep and would certainly help make Duke’s 2021-22 roster an all-time collection.
