A key piece to Duke basketball’s 2021 class is set to showcase his talents.

Unless you happen to be on the list of eligible coaches, scouts, and recruiters, you will have to pay for a subscription to BallerTV in order to catch the latest Duke basketball commit, O’Dea (Wash.) rising senior Paolo Banchero, in action this weekend at the Pangos Rocky Mountain Summit in Utah.

However, depending on your level of fandom as it applies to future Blue Devils — in this case, a versatile power forward who ranks No. 3 overall on the 247Sports 2021 Composite — this may be the time to splurge. When also factoring in the freshness of Banchero’s sudden pledge last week, one would think the live-streamer site will indeed see a Duke-fueled uptick in subscribers.

Further adding to the incentive to sign up is the elite competition that the 6-foot-9, 235-pound five-star will face. Most notable is a matchup at 12:40 p.m. MT on Saturday between Banchero’s Seattle Rotary AAU squad and Border Boyz, featuring San Diego native Mikey Williams, a five-star 2023 guard who is so popular that he received his own Wikipedia page before a driver’s license.

Banchero and his teammates, including the same four-star 2021 guard Nolan Hickman who audaciously talked about flipping Banchero’s decision shortly after his own commitment to Kentucky on Saturday, will take the court no less than four times from Friday through Sunday.

Before the tournament’s elimination rounds take place on Sunday, in addition to the Saturday afternoon game against Border Boyz, Seattle Rotary will square off against Prodigy Elite (Los Angeles) at 10 p.m. MT on Friday and against Belmont Shore (Long Beach) at 7:40 p.m. MT on Saturday.

As for those Duke basketball fans who aren’t willing to fork over their card number just for the sake of Banchero-induced goosebumps, they can wait for highlights to emerge on YouTube while also looking for updates at Nothing But Net and here at Ball Durham.

With Paolo Banchero’s addition to #TheBrotherhood, the Blue Devils have now landed the only two top 10 prospects off the board in the 2021 cycle; the other, of course, is Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) five-star small forward AJ Griffin, who ranks No. 6 overall.

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff are still awaiting decisions from four more five-stars: Paul VI (Va.) shooting guard Trevor Keels, who ranks No. 16; Montverde (Fla.) small forward Caleb Houstan, who ranks No. 8, Hamilton (Wis.) small forward Patrick Baldwin Jr., who ranks No. 1, and IMG (Fla.) center Charles Bediako, who ranks No. 20.
