player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 2017-18. Marvin Bagley. Freshman. 2. 434

No. 2 on this list missed playing with Zion Williamson by just a single season. Like Zion, he was a conference POY, All-ACC First Team selection, plus a Wooden and Naismith Award finalist. And like Zion, he also played in Durham for just one year.

Unlike his fellow Duke basketball one-and-done, however, Marvin Bagley averaged a double-double during his freshman season as a Blue Devil. The 6-foot-11 native of Phoenix, Ariz., averaged 21.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. That totaled a half-point better than Zion’s 40.2 fantasy points per game. Bagley’s 40.7 average is the second-best single-season mark from the last decade of ACC hoops.

The Duke basketball forward led his 2017-18 squad to 29 wins, earning a final national ranking of No. 9 in the AP Poll before a devastating season-ending loss to Kansas in overtime in the regional final. Bagley was then selected second in the 2018 NBA Draft and has averaged just under 15 points per game in two seasons with the Sacramento Kings.
