Former Duke basketball superstar Jayson Tatum finished his regular season with nearly a perfect performance for the Boston Celtics.

It was the perfect end to the regular season for former Blue Devil standout Jayson Tatum as he nearly dropped in a perfect game en route to yet another victory for the Boston Celtics.

Tatum poured in 29 points against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday on 10-of-13 shooting from the field, 4-of-5 from 3-point range, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.

The 29 points marked the second straight 29-point game for the All-Star as he scored the same amount in an overtime victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday evening.

Boston’s star forward also chipped in six rebounds, two assists, and a steal in the 122-107 victory.

Jayson Tatum did not play in the Celtics’ final game of the restarted regular season against the Washington Wizards due to a left ankle sprain, but that was merely an excuse for the team to rest Tatum along with the other stars on the team.

In the victory over Memphis, Tatum’s teammate at Duke, Grayson Allen, also scored 12 points for his team in a losing effort.

Since his dreadful 2-of-18 performance in the first game of the restarted season, Tatum has been sensational, scoring at least 18 points in every single game he has played in and posting a 34-point outing immediately following his lackluster five-point game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Tatum will now lead the Boston Celtics into the Eastern Conference Playoffs as the No. 3 seed as the team will face its rival Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs, although Philly will not have its star, Ben Simmons, who underwent surgery on his knee following an injury inside the bubble.
