Sign that Duke basketball product Cassius Stanley should shine: ATHLETICISM

Coming into college, it was obvious that Cassius Stanley had elite-level athleticism. Stanley let everyone know just how athletic he was by breaking the all-time vertical jump record, breaking Zion Williamson’s mark that was set just one year earlier.

It seemed like every single night last season that the 6-foot-6, 195-pound freshman shooting guard was throwing down another monstrous slam. I have never seen someone jump as Stanley does. It is almost like he floats through the air. Duke routinely ran an inbounds play underneath the basket where Stanley would come soaring down the middle of the lane to catch an alley-oop for an easy two points.

The Los Angeles native is already a human highlight reel, and from the moment he steps into the NBA, he will already be one of the most athletic players in the league. Stanley has great finishing ability in transition, which will be important at the next level. With the NBA game being very up and down, that style should be a nice fit for his game. As mentioned earlier, though, Cassius Stanley is good for more than just dunks…
