Which Duke basketball alum in the bubble is the program’s top NBA marksman?

Surely to the annoyance of anti-Duke basketball viewers, several former Blue Devils have been scorching the nets in Orlando ever since the 22 invited teams showed up to the NBA restart. Now, a little more than halfway through each squad’s eight scheduled games to close out the regular season — playoffs begin on Aug. 17 — it’s time to stack up the seven snipers who must be making Mike Krzyzewski proud by splashing buckets against the world’s best.

Prior to Friday’s action, the official Twitter account for Duke basketball stats noted that five of the 20 best 3-point percentages inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex belong to Blue Devils. Naturally, all five made this cut along with two more who could quickly shoot their way into the top 20.

But that’s not entirely what this ranking is all about. Instead, the order in which the seven will appear depends not only on the current temperature of their shooting hands — from downtown, from the field, and from the charity stripe — but also their percentages across this entire season to date and for their careers. Plus, we’ll consider the sheer beauty of each’s shot.
