Averages of 4.5 points and 2.5 boards in 46 games for the 2018-19 New York Knicks seemed to mark the end of the line for the eight-year NBA run of 2010 Duke basketball national champ Lance Thomas. But the 6-foot-8, 240-pound combo forward signed on with the short-handed Brooklyn Nets two weeks ago and has contributed in all three scrimmages the past week. While his new team has dim hopes, the 32-year-old has an opening to revive a career.
