Ranking the top 10 for Duke basketball target Charles Bediako: Maryland

439. . . . Terrapins . 8. team

Unlike the Duke basketball coaches, Mark Turgeon and his Maryland staff have handed out offers to three five-stars and one four-star among 2021 centers. On the other hand, they stand little to no chance at landing any of the names, other than maybe Charles Bediako; but that doesn’t suggest the Terrapins are top contenders for the coveted big man.

Nevertheless, as Busting Brackets contributor Ian Mumm outlined, Maryland could potentially have loads of minutes available for a guy like Bediako in light of all the recent outflow of talent, particularly in the paint:

“Mark Turgeon is desperately trying to rebuild the Terps roster this offseason. The massive departures from the team have left very little frontcourt depth to use in 2020. The NBA jumps of Bruno Fernando and Jalen Smith are sure to be significant selling points for a player of Bediako’s upside to anchor the 2021 class and restore competitiveness to the program.”
