Key quote from Duke basketball target Kennedy Chandler about Kentucky

Kennedy Chandler on Kentucky

Kennedy Chandler has made the key selling point of Kentucky plain as day: John Calipari’s track record with NBA talent. Speaking with Pro Insight, he alluded to the trust he’d have in the Wildcats head coach should he opt to play what would likely be a one-and-done college season in Lexington:

“Coach Calipari just puts guys in the League. He’s been helping a lot of guys out, and that’s what he does. He can help me get better, get better every day, and I just know that he’s not going to let me take any days off.”

Adding to that praise, Chandler more recently specified to Rivals what he appreciates most about Coach Cal’s M.O. as a molder of future NBA point guards, often with a handful to manage all at once:

“They do well with point guards like De’Aaron Fox and Tyler Ulis. I could go on and on with the point guards they’ve had. [Calipari] puts his guards in the right place, he plays more than one point guard, and that’s what he likes to do. He says that he loves the way I play.”
