Yes, consistency is a common theme between Kennedy Chandler’s interview with Pro Insight in May and his chats with Rivals insider Eric Bossi, most recently this week. However, as we’ll see the rest of the way here, the Memphis native’s comments to Rivals come across as a tad more confident than those to Pro Insight from a couple of months ago.
As for his thoughts on cashing in his talents early via the G League — as five of the top 35 prospects on the 247Sports 2020 Composite have now committed to doing next season — here’s what Chandler originally told Pro Insight:
“They haven’t really talked to me, more to my dad. I know they wanted me to join after my senior year of high school. It really would have been a big move for me to join them, but I knew that my goal is to go to college, so that’s where I’m going.”
A more emphatic assertion of that came during one of Chandler’s talks with Rivals:
“For me, I want to go to college. They have called my parents, but I want to go to college.”
