Predicting the landing spot for Duke basketball target Charles Bediako

Five-star 2021 center Charles Bediako

High School: IMG Academy (Fla.)

Height and weight: 6-foot-11, 220 pounds

Composite ranking: No. 20 overall, No. 3 center, No. 3 in Florida

Scouting report (from 247Sports analyst Josh Gershon): “Mobile center with good size, long arms…budding athleticism…physically immature with a frame that should eventually carry a lot more weight…improved motor/competitiveness…relatively raw on offense…made progress as a rebounder and rim protector…needs to get stronger…high ceiling.”

Finalists (10): Alabama, Baylor, Duke, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan, Ohio State, Southern Cal, Texas, Tennessee

Recruitment chatter (from Ian Mumm of Busting Brackets): “Nate Oats has not had much difficulty recruiting players to Alabama…especially from the UPlay Canada EYBL program. Forward Keon Ambros-Hylton and five-star guard Josh Primo are joining the program…Bediako is very familiar with them both…Bediako won’t have to worry about a lack of offensive opportunities, due to the attention of defenses on perimeter talent, but also because the Tide’s up-tempo style affords extra possessions…The looks he will receive are likely to largely be isolated for him to score one-on-one and help to quickly develop his craft.”

Decision timeline: Bediako, whose 247Sports Crystal Ball consists of one pick pointing to Alabama, has not specified a timeline.

Prediction: ALABAMA
